Artist's Biography |
Mercedese Bantz has been creating works of art for nearly 20 years. Born in Paxton, Illinois, she began at age 15 painting holiday scenes on local storefront windows.
Mercedese has studied at Parkland College in Champaign, Illinois, the College of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and in California at the Art Institute in Laguna Beach, the Animators Union in West Hollywood and Saddleback College in Mission Viejo.
Over the years, Mercedese has continued to work as a successful full time artist, using her talents with a brush and pen to create commissioned works and murals for homes and offices from Caribou, Maine to San Diego, California. She has designed over 200 fine art rubber stamps, and is a regular contributing illustrator for Somerset Studio magazine. In 1998 Ms. Bantz was commissioned by Beach Graphics to create art for Sunkist™ non-foods licensing. This art will be appearing on a variety of products including collectibles, household goods, toys and clothing.
